The Velvet Memories headpiece is a gorgeous hand made piece painted with an ombre effect in soft shades of darker and lighter silver. This piece is layered to create dimension, and heavily adorned with high quality glass crystals in shades of light purple, lavender and black diamond, white acrylic half pearls and metal adornments alongside a multitude of shimmering Swarovski rhinestones.

Along with your headpiece you will recieve two matching rings (free size), and a secret gift.

Materials: metal, paint, high quality glass crystals, repurposed jewelry findings, Swarovski rhinestones, sequin fabric, plastic headband base, metal comb.

Lightweight, comfortable.

Fastens with a headband and a comb.

Sustainability footprint: 15% repurposed materials (the fabric and some of the crystals and metal adornments)

Advise: It is always a good idea when wearing a larger headpiece to not have newly washed hair. It also gets a much better grip if you use saltwater spray or other styling products. Bobby pins can be used as extra security, and a trick to make the comb stick extra well is to do one or two super tiny pony tails with small elastic rubber bands into which the comb is fastened. Secure with extra bobby pins.

This piece is quite light weight, but due to its size I strongly recommend you to practice wearing it before your event. Practice taking it off and putting it on, get familiar with how it feels on your head and especially practice walking through doors (so you don't smash it into the edge). It is a bit like walking in heels, posture is everything.

Further information:  If you like other accessories, for example metal claws, choker necklace, belt or maybe a metal bra, to go with this piece, please contact me to discuss your ideas and to get a time and price estimate.

Curiousity: This showpiece was created for an artistic collaboration with Threnody in Velvet, the extraordinary UK based corsetry & alternative fashion model, photographer and make up artist, and British corset maker Jo Manners of Jems Corsets last year.
